Import a Mesh from Seequent Central to Leapfrog

Objective

Import a Mesh object from another branch or project using Seequent Central.

Resolution

From project branch

Requirements

  • The mesh is Published
  • That you have access to that particular project

Steps

  1. Right-click the Meshes Folder - Select Import Mesh From Central
  2. Select the Project

  3. Select the correct branch and revision

  4. Select the correct mesh to import (multi select available)
  5. Click Import

For Meshes this is a live link to that branch, any updates will be flagged and can be manually updated by right-clicking that object.

From Central Data Room

Requirements

  • That you have access to the project
  • That the file type is supported

Steps

  1. Right-click the Meshes Folder - Select Import Mesh From Central
  2. Select the Project

  3. Select the Files tab

  4. Browse the project Files imported in the Central Portal.
  5. Select the correct mesh to import

For Meshes this is a live link to that branch, any updates will be flagged and can be manually updated by right-clicking that object.

 

Notes

  • Don't rename the meshes since they will be renamed on reload. Use a decent folder structure and comments.

Where this could be useful:

  • Improve productivity by splitting larger models into smaller parts.
  • Granular access rights, make use of the Portal to share data files.
