Set Elevation on Point data with only XY coordinates

Objective:

Some older data lack the Z coordinate required by Leapfrog. This workflow guides you through adding new elevation data to the points.

Resolution:

This requires a surface (generally a topography) to take elevation values from.

1. Add a Z field to the source data
2. Set this field to a temporary value (such as 0)
3. Import in Leapfrog
4. Use the function Set Elevation
5. Select the appropriate surface
6. Export and merge with source data
