How to import sub-block models with Leapfrog Geo + Edge

Objective:

I want to import sub-blocked models with Leapfrog Geo. 

Resolution:

There is no ability to import sub-block models currently using Leapfrog Geo+Edge in the Block Models Folder.

However, if only for study, you could bring the model in this way:

  1. Import the sub-blocked model as points
  2. Construct a regular block model at the minimum sub-block scale or,
  3. Construct a sub-blocked model that matches closely the original
  4. Define and evaluate one or more Nearest Neighbor estimators for the domains used for the block model

This will give you an approximation of the original sub-blocked model. It probably won't be close enough to the original for public reporting. But may be useful for analysis.

Notes:

There is an existing feature request to add this functionality. We are continuously working on improving the functionality of our software and hopefully this is something what will be implemented for feature iterations.
