When attempting to run a 2.5D TDEM inversion I get the following message in the Add Data (1/3) dialog:
"A single line must be selected in the database".
Short answer:
This was by design. At the moment you can only run a 2.5D TDEM inversion on a single line of data at a time.
Long answer:
Inversion of TDEM, beyond 1D, is extremely complex mathematically and computationally demanding. That's why there is the single line restriction. The concept at this time is that a 1D inversion will produce interesting anomalies with artefacts which will then be inverted in 2.5D to remove those artefacts. The workflow is to process your data in VOXI-TDEM 1D, then take anomalies on single lines and improve your interpretation with VOXI-TDEM 2.5D. Our VOXI Principal Scientist, Rob Ellis, is working on workflow documentation to guide the steps through using VOXI-TDEM 2.5D.
We're always looking for valuable feedback from our VOXI customers, so if you are able to share your VOXI TDEM-2.5D results and workflow and how they compare to VOXI-1D or other inversion results it would be greatly appreciated - please reach out.
