How to Limit the Depth Extent of a VOXI Model?

Objective:

I would like to limit the depth extent of my VOXI model in order to make the inversion more computationally efficient.

Resolution:

Reducing the depth extent of the model will improve the speed of the inversion since there are less voxel elements to solve for.  It is advisable to run a deep coarse mesh model first to estimate the depth extent of the result.  Then run a second inversion with a refined mesh with limited depth extent.

To Modify the Depth Extent:

  1. Open your VOXI model.
  2. In the VOXI Manager expand the Area of Interest.
  3. Right click on Mesh and select Modify.
    The Modify Mesh Parameters dialog will open.
  4. Click More.
  5. Change the Bottom of model to a value of higher elevation thereby reducing the depth extent.
