Occurrence:
The following error occurs when I click Convert Geosoft Grids from the Geosoft Ribbon in the Geosoft Add-In for ArcGIS Pro:
Tool has failed to open:
geosoftarcpy.ConvertGeosoftGrids
Similar errors can be returned when access Target for ArcGIS Pro tools from the Geosoft ribbon. given when accessing.
Resolution:
Uninstall the Geosoft Target for ArcGIS Pro.
- From the Control Panel click on Programs and Features.
- Select Geosoft Target for ArcGIS Pro from the list of installed programs and click Uninstall.
Reinstall the Geosoft Target for ArcGIS Pro.
- Download the latest version of the Add-In from My Seequent
- Right-click on the installation file and click Run as Administrator.
Root Cause
A common trigger to this issue is when ArcGIS Pro was updated when Target for ArcGIS Pro installed. It's recommend to always uninstall Target for ArcGIS Pro before updating ArcGIS Pro from one major release version to another. Then re-installing Target for ArcGIS Pro.
