I have imported my drillhole data into Target for ArcPro but the traces are pointing in the opposite direction.

Symptom:

When displaying my drillholes (in a local scene or map scene) the drill traces are drawing up and out of the topography. 


Example:
I created a KML file in Oasis montaj by exporting a map. When I attempted to display this KML file in Google Earth, using ***, it resulted in a red X and the raster fails to render.

Resolution:

This is likely due to the default settings within your drillhole settings. To switch the survey dipping direction:

  1. Select the Project tab
  2. Select the Drillhole Settings
  3. Ensure 'Negative Survey dips point' matches your data.
    • If your survey data has negative dips select 'Down'
    • If your survey data has positive dips select 'Up'

Root Cause:

The default drillhole settings for the project differ the negative/positive direction of your survey data.
