Objective:
I have a geosurface that I would like to clip (window) to a set elevation.
Resolution:
- In the 3D Viewer go to Geosurface > Utilities > Window a Surface
- Select the Input geosurface you want to clip
- Give the Output geosurface and surface names.
- Check the Vertical Windowing checkbox.
- Set the Minimum and/or Maximum Z range as desired.
- Press OK.
Notes:
This workflow only applies to geosurfaces that are closed. There are two ways to know if a geosurface is opened or closed.
- Look at the symbol for the geosurface in the 3D Manager. A half oval notates an open geosurface. A full oval notates a closed geosurface.
- You can also view the geosurface properties by selecting the geosurface and pressing the Properties button. The Surface Properties Type will be "Open" and the volume will be n/a.
