Occurrence:
The following errors occur when I attempt to launch my Geosoft application.
Oasis montaj Startup:
An error occurred while communicating with Geosoft Connect in order to retrieve your GeosoftID
Oasis montaj:
connect() failed: errno = 10061
Resolution:
- Launch Windows Explorer.
- Navigate to C:\Users\Public\Documents\Geosoft\Geosoft Connect Settings
- Delete the contents of this folder.
- Relaunch the application.
If this fails try uninstalling and reinstalling Seequent Connector
- Use the Control Panel to uninstall Seequent Connector.
- Download Seequent Connector here.
- Double-click the *.exe to install.
Root Cause
This error seems to be related to a Windows Update replacing a specific file required to run Geosoft Connect.
