Occurrence:
The following error is displayed when attempting to add Azure Map Images to my map.
Oasis montaj:
renderServerImage failed: unknown result
Resolution:
This error message usually indicates the application is having problems connecting to the Azure Server. In most situation, this occurs because a proxy server or a firewall is blocking communication with the Azure Server - atlas.microsoft.com.
To resolution the issue attempt the following:
1. Whitelist the Azure Server Domain - atlas.microsoft.com
- Contact your I.T Team and have them whitelist atlas.microsoft.com'
- For additional Seequent related domains see: https://my.seequent.com/support/knowledgebase/Zendesk_360002199955
2. Start your computer:
- Some customers have reported that simply shutting down there PC and rebooting has addressed the problem.
3. Try using a different service provider to connect:
- The connection problem may be related to a spotty connection or heavy internet traffic.
- Temporarily disconnect from your company’s network and try using a different connection. Perhaps you’ll have better luck using your home internet or hot spotting to a cell phone (that use a different provider).
As a workaround, you can also try getting the images directly from Azure maps using your browser. Just note, images exported from Azure Maps may not contain projection information, in which case you will need to manually georeference them using this article: https://my.seequent.com/support/knowledgebase/kA330000000V1ftCAC
