Occurrence:
After installing Geosoft Desktop Applications with a silent command, or signing into Seequent Connector using the offline email method, I get the following errors messages:
The cached subscription has expired. And This system not licensed.
Resolution:
- Open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\ProgramData\Geosoft\Geosoft Connect Settings
- If this folder exist, rename it to C:\ProgramData\Geosoft\Geosoft Connect Settings.OLD
- Then launch the application.
This should trigger Seequent Connector, allowing you to sign-in and start the program.
If this fails to launch the application, try signing using the offline email method.
Root Cause
When installing using a silent command the C:\ProgramData\Geosoft\Geosoft Connect Settings folder can be improperly created, which may cause conflicts when attempting to validate your subscriptions. Renaming this file causes the application to ignore it on launch.
