Error: "Unable to load the d_ersxgd.dll DLL to read create the XGD interface to read ers data."

Occurrence:

The following error message occur when attempting to create an analytic signal grid in MAGMAP. (2D Filtering > Analytic Signal)

Oasis montaj:
Unable to load the d_ersxgd.dll DLL to read create the XGD interface to read ers data. This is likely due to a newer file format only available in a more recent version of Geosoft software.

 

Resolution:

  1. Go to Project > Settings > Advanced.
  2. Under Image Settings change the Default Grid Format from ERS to GRD
  3. Click OK
  4. Rerun the function and it should work.
