Occurrence:
After installing Oasis montaj 9.5 using the silent install, I'm presented with a dialog asking me to select a subscription. No matter what I select, if I click the OK button I'm presented with the following error message:
FlexNet License Finder:
Your application was not able to obtain a license because the FlexNet License server manager could not determine where to find the licensing data it needs. Please choose one of the following:
Specify the License Server System
Specificy the License File.
Resolution:
Delete a duplicate DesktopApplications.key file using Windows Explorer
- In Windows Explorer go to C:\ProgramData\Geosoft\Geosoft Connect Settings.
- Delete the DesktopApplications.key file.
- Launch the application.
Root Cause
This is a bug in the installation that is coping the DesktopApplications.key file into the wrong location (C:\ProgramData\Geosoft\Geosoft Connect Settings). We are looking to address this problem in future releases
