Occurrence:
I receive the following error message when attempting to launching ArcGIS Pro 2.5.*:
"ArcGIS Application has stopped working. Click "Send Report" to help us fix the problem. We analyze every report."ll's".
Resolution:
- Using the Windows Search (bottom left corner) search for: Edit the System Environment Variables.
- In the System Properties dialog, select the Advanced Tab and press the Environment Variables button.
- In the Environment Variable dialog, double-click Path under User variables for *username*.
- If there is a path called 'C:\Programs Files\Geosoft\Desktop Applications 9\bin' delete it.
- Restart ArcPro.
If the problem persist, try restarting the computer and refreshing your subscription by locating the Geosoft Connect icon in the System Tray, right-clicking it, and selecting Refresh Subscription.
Root Cause
With the current release of Geosoft Desktop Applications 9.8.1, ArcGIS Pro 2.5.X will crash if you have Target for ArcGIS Pro 2.1 and Oasis montaj 9.8.1 installed. (Known issue - IS255330).
