Occurrence:
I am not able to see any results from a DAP Server. Depend on your application you see either, the message:
Failed to Retrieve/Datasets. Right click to Refresh.
However, pressing Refresh does not resolve the error.
Or, you may also get the error message:
Portal Name’ does not seem to be available right now.
Resolution:
Either the domain name for DAP server has changed or the server is not in operation.
To remove the server from your list of DAP Servers:
1. Seeker
- Use Seeker to access DAP Servers from within a Geosoft desktop application versions 9.x and up, including Oasis montaj, Target, Target for ArcGIS, as well as through the Geosoft Viewer and Plug-in for ArcGIS.
- Click on Manage Servers (upper right corner)
- Select the server to remove and then delete button on the right (red x).
2. Find Geoscience Data
- Use Geosoft's Geoscience Data Service to access DAP Servers from within Geosoft Target for ArcGIS Pro.
- On the main menu, select the Project menu, then Geosoft Portals.
- Select the server that is not available, and then the delete button to the right.
