How to clear the recent project files list in Oasis montaj/Target.

Objective:

My Recent Project Files list in Oasis montaj/Target has become very large and I would like to clear the list

Resolution:

There is no setting that allows the clearing of the Recent Project Files. However the list of projects is stored in a .meta file which can be deleted to clear the list.

To clear Recent Project Files: 

  1. Navigate to the C:\Users\%username%\Documents\Geosoft\Desktop Applications 9\ini
  2. Delete the geosettings.meta file.

Notes:

Alternatively, the geosettings.meta can be renamed if you want to retain the Recent Project Files list for future use.  When Oasis montaj is started this file will be automatically regenerated.
