How to run an Oasis montaj shareable subscription

Objective:

I just purchased an Oasis montaj shareable subscription and would like to correctly use it.

 

Resolution:

If you already have or had a version of Oasis montaj installed:

  1. Close Oasis montaj if open.
  2. Make sure you have the latest version of the software installed.
    In case you don´t have, uninstall Oasis montaj at this point using the Control Panel.
  3. Locate Seequent Connector in the lower right corner, right-click it and select Sign Out.
  4. Locate Seequent Connector in the lower right corner, right-click it and select Exit Seequent Connector.
  5. In Windows Explorer go to C:\Users\***USERNAME***\AppData\Local and delete the Geosoft and Geosoft_Inc folders
  6. Download and install the updated version of Seequent Connector here: https://downloads.seequent.com/Geosoft/SeequentConnector.zip
    If at step 2 you needed to uninstall Oasis montaj, run the executable to install the current version.
  7. Launch the application and sign in with your Seequent ID.

 

If you never had a version of Oasis montaj installed:

  1. Download and install the updated version of Seequent Connector here: https://downloads.seequent.com/Geosoft/SeequentConnector.zip
  2. Download and install the Oasis montaj latest version from this link.
  3. Launch the application and sign in with your Seequent ID.

 

Notes:

With the correct version of Seequent Connector installed, shareable subscription behavior when you sign in with your Seequent ID should be:

You can now choose how many days you want to checkout a license.
Your options are:

  • While App is running: this will checkout a seat when launched and check-in the seat when closed. (This might be the preferred option if you need to share the seat a lot and the same day).
  • 1 Days, 7,days, or 14 days: this will checkout a seat for the selected number of days. Closing the application will not automatically check the seat back in. The seat will remain installed on your PC even when the application is closed. At the end of the selected days, the seat will be automatically be checked in.

However, you can always check a seat back in at anytime by right-clicking Seequent Connector and selecting Check-In Subscription.
