Troubleshooting Leapfrog Start Reports

Symptom:

Start Report shows failed URL's although Leapfrog works on another PC within the same network.

 

Resolution:

Copy the URL (example: https://id.aranzgeo.com) from the failing Endpoints, then paste this into a web browser, this should update your certificate. (If the endpoint is 'id.seequent.com' login)

If this does not resolve the issue then:

  1. Open the “Start” menu.
  2. Click on “Settings.”
  3. In the “Find a Setting” search box, type in “Firewall.”
  4. Click on “Windows Defender Firewall.”
  5. On the left, click on “Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall.”
  6. Now, the “Allowed App” windows will pop up.  Click on the “Change Settings” button.
  7. Check the boxes next to the apps or programs you want to allow through the Windows Firewall.
  8. Click "Allow another app" then click "Browse" and navigate to the Seequent Connector location. (C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Geosoft_Inc\Geosoft Connect)
  9. Select "GeosoftConnect.exe" click on "Open" and "Add"
  10. Don’t forget to also check the boxes under the type of networks that will allow this communication (Private or Public).
  11. Click on “OK” to save your new settings.

If connection troubles still persist the next steps are:

  1. Go Control Panel, Network and Internet, Internet Options
  2. Click the Security tab, in the Internet Security Zone click on Restricted Sites, and then on the button labeled “Sites”.
  3. Check if the URL of the website (example: https://id.aranzgeo.com) is listed there. If yes, select the URL and click "Remove"

Repeat the process for the other URLs that have failed the Start Report.
