Occurrence:
I downloaded a Leapfrog Geo project through Central and later tried to open it directly through the project file Central creates on my computer. The project did not open and the following error message occurred:
Leapfrog:
You are attempting to open a project that is stored within the Central project store. Please open the Project using the Central projects tab or copy the project file to another location and try again.
Resolution:
The problem can be solved using one of the two methods below:
I. Open the project directly through the Central Projects tab within Leapfrog:
- Open Leapfrog and select the Central Projects tab located at the top.
- Make sure you are connected to the Central server that has the project saved.
- Select the project in question.
II. Copy the project file from the Central folder to some location on your computer:
- Check where the Central is saved the project: Go to Leapfrog Geo menu and click Settings
- Select the Central option.
- Copy the address where the project is located on your computer in the Project Files > Location option.
- Find the Leapfrog project in this folder, *.aproj extension (extension with the Leapfrog logo).
- Copy the project and folder of the same name as the project to a location of your choice on your computer.
- Open the project directly through this new copy location.
Cause:
The problem is caused by trying to open the project in a location where Central only stores the project's cache memory.
Notes:
*The II (second) method presented is only recommended to be performed if it is necessary to open the project directly from a location on the computer, as this may cause the disconnection of this project from the Central.
