Occurrence:
I get the following error message when attempting to open Leapfrog v2021:
An error has occurred. Could not validate Seequent Connector certificate
Resolution:
- Close out of any Leapfrog Program that is open.
- Right click Seequent Connector in your system tray (usually located in the bottom right portion of your screen), then select "Sign Out"
- Right click on the Seequent Connector again, this time selecting "Exit Seequent Connector".
- Uninstall Seequent Connector and Geosoft Connect from your control panel
- Delete the following folders:
C:\Users\%USER%\AppData\Local\Geosoft\Geosoft Connect Settings
C:\Users\%USER%\AppData\Local\Geosoft_Inc\Geosoft Connect
- Install Seequent Connector: https://downloads.seequent.com/Geosoft/SeequentConnector.zip
- Log in to https://my.seequent.com
- Launch Leapfrog and sign in with your Seequent ID and password
Root Cause
Seequent Connector may have failed to install when upgrading/installing Leapfrog v2021
Notes:
If you cannot find Seequent Connector and Geosoft in your control panel, skip straight to Step 6 and install the SeequentConnector.zip
There may be an application monitoring software on your network, such as Ivanti, AppSense, Applocker, that is blocking Seequent Connector from running. In which case you'll need to whitelist Seequent Connector (C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Geosoft_Inc\Geosoft Connect)
